The Front Door Cafe @ Grocers Inn

It is almost the end of 2014 already? So fast you might say! Well, this is 'time' I guess.

Before you know it, you are another year older! ='(

For those who are already working would only means clearing off leave before the new year kick in! Many of my colleagues are clearing of their leave this few days, that leaves the office very empty and quiet. So, being super adventurous, Laura, Ophelia and I decided to go to a nearby cafe for lunch.
EXPENSIVE lunch! Usually we would just have instant noodle of chinese food near our office.

We have decided to give The Front Door Cafe a try!

This cafe is situated right at Petaling Street, definitely an old building built during the British ruling. I am assuming la actually. LOL

Love this wall! Super artistic whoever drew this!

They are especially famous for their Signature Toast.

Since there were three of us, we ordered the 5 slices one. There were 10 different choices given, the 5 that we have picked are:
1. Cream Cheese/Asparagus/Sauteed Mushroom/Hard Boiled Egg
2. Cream Cheese/Cucumber Ribbon/Smoked Salmom/Capers
3. Mozzarella/Green Apple/Almonds/Salted Caramel
4. Pizza Sauce/Mozzarella/Beef Pepperoni/Fresh Basil
5. Cream Cheese/Sliced Avocado/Fried Egg

All I can say is it one hell of a toast! Love em!

Other than the toast, we also ordered pastas, the pastas were quite disappointing la honestly,.

The pesto one were not well seasoned and the creamy pasta was toooooo creamy till the point off 'over-jelak' (if that is even a word lol) but the portion was huge la. Should have just ordered one pasta instead of two. Pasta each cost RM17, overprice for the not so pleasant pasta. hahah

And finally, cafe visit will not be accomplished without a cup of caffeine and i take Mocha.

This CHRISTMAS @ NUFFNANG'S office ^^

Hey guys! Merry Christmas to all! It is only 3 days away from the most joyous day in the year!

As you can see from the title, I would be speaking of what took place in the Nuffnang's Office. Every year there is this Best Christmas Decoration Contest hat takes plave in the office! Each section/area/group are allocated a certain amount of budget to decorate their specific area!

Well, I will be taking you with me through the journey of what my team members and I came up with!

Preparation: We started off 3 weeks earlier, cutting snowflakes and buying materials first!

Ophelia cutting of the stems from the fresh flowers we bought! We went all the way to Petaling Street (chee chong kai) to purchase these beautiful bouquets! 10 stocks for RM7! cheap cheap cheap!

I have no idea where all those came about! It just pop in to our mind!

If you don't already know, Netccentric consists of Nuffnang, ChurpChurp, Nom Nom Media and Reelity TV! We managed to create a hipster cafe name with all sisters company under Netccentric! =D

A Pie Thing

Everyone have been raving about this new place!

The trying to fit in me have also decided to give it a try for the purpose of taking a picture so i could blog and Insta it! This is what people do these days right? haha

Went to A Pie Thing in Uptown right after work with my bunch of high school mates.

All the pies displayed. freshly baked out of the oven, while we were there, people kept going in and out, that means the pies are selling out fast. In order to stock em up, the only way is to bake them again.

They sell chocs too. Expensive choc to be precise!

Decided to give the Lamb pie and Mushroom and Chicken Pie a try. =) I must say, it's damn fine babeh! The lamb pie tasted superb man, small chunk of tender lamb, so so goood!

Did not managed the Steak Pie (beef) cause one of our friend is not allowed to have beef due to religion purposes.

Might head back just to give steak a try! =P

Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Green Peas and Gravy! (Don't really fancy the pea, might just order it without the peas next round)

and of course, a meal would not be completed without dessert!

Signature Pie topped with bittersweet choc and marshmallow! tasted like heaven! =X
